About

Slagger Lund is a Danish multi-artist working across poetry, music and visual art. His practice unfolds as a continuous stream of language, sound and image — a poetic system rather than separate disciplines. Each medium becomes an extension of the same inner landscape: fragmented, sensual, humorous, melancholic and deeply human.

At the core of Lund’s work lies an intense sensitivity to language — not as a tool for clarity, but as a material in itself. Words are stretched, twisted, broken and reassembled into lyrical constellations that oscillate between vulnerability and absurdity. His artistic voice is unmistakable: raw yet tender, playful yet unsettling, intimate yet strangely anonymous.

Slagger Lund’s universe does not seek resolution. Instead, it dwells in the in-between — between meaning and nonsense, confession and performance, beauty and decay. His works invite the viewer into a state of poetic disorientation, where emotions surface before interpretations do.

En 80 Meter Bjørn
Since its release, "En 80 Meter Bjørn" by Slagger Lund has garnered strong attention and varied critical responses across the Danish cultural landscape. Reviewers consistently highlight Lund’s singular voice — one that blurs the lines between poetry and narrative, embracing language as a material rather than a mere vehicle for storytelling.

Critics have praised the book’s rhythmic tension and emotional depth, noting how Lund’s unique use of fragmentation and unexpected imagery creates a reading experience that is both immersive and challenging. The text has been celebrated for its ability to evoke raw feeling, oscillating between humor and melancholy in a way that feels distinctly authentic and creatively daring.

Many reviewers point to En 80 Meter Bjørn as an example of contemporary literature that refuses easy categorization. It draws from poetic sensibilities while maintaining a compelling narrative pulse — a work that invites readers to linger in its linguistic spaces rather than rush toward resolution.

Across different platforms, audiences and critics alike have admired the book’s bold approach to language, its emotional resonance, and its capacity to expand what a literary work can be. In both form and tone, En 80 Meter Bjørn stands as a testament to Slagger Lund’s artistic vision — one that bridges disciplines and invites meaningful engagement from its readers.

Signe from Music Magazine meets Slagger Lund and NC

On the sofa at Moe Gallery in Aarhus, Signe meets musician, visual artist, author and songwriter Slagger Lund together with NC, the founder of the gallery.

Nygade & Væk
Slagger Lund’s music unfolds as an extension of his poetic practice. His songs are not merely compositions, but lyrical soundscapes — intimate, fragmented and emotionally charged. Language remains central: words drift, repeat, collapse and re-emerge as rhythmic elements rather than linear narratives.

His musical universe balances the melancholic and the absurd. Gentle melodies meet raw vocal delivery, and fragile harmonies are interrupted by sudden shifts in tone and tempo. The result is a sound that feels both deeply personal and strangely distant — as if the songs are whispered from an inner room the listener is only briefly allowed to enter.

Much like his visual work, Slagger Lund’s music embraces imperfection. Cracks in the voice, uneven rhythms and unpolished structures become carriers of emotional truth. His songs linger rather than conclude — leaving behind a sense of poetic resonance rather than fixed meaning.

Slagger Lund’s music does not aim to entertain in a conventional sense. It invites presence. It invites listening as a form of emotional attention.

"Filled with musical surprises, ranging from primitive touches to organic swamp blues. The approach is minimalist, where the instrumentation may support a rock sound, but melodically it sticks to a form of popular music sound. It may sound a bit like an acid version of the Danish top, but he is also not afraid to kick hard in the bigger songs (…) It is no secret that Slagger Lund is a bit of an original. With his three previous albums he has already beaten his odds, but with Nygade & Væk he has gained a grip on the songs, where the many statements stand strong. It is both uplifting and thought-provoking"

“A new collection of unruly songs - it's amazing”

"Already on his previous – and first officially released album, Maniak, there were signs of something truly great and unique. And Slagger Lund has only grown since (…) The quirky, the crazy, the simple, the sinful, the ingenious, the wasted, the charming, the mournful, the floating. Everything comes together in a fluid form that I don't remember hearing before on the Danish music scene."
